Semaphore is a research lab at the University of Toronto, dedicated to inclusive design in the area of mobile and pervasive computing. Faced with the challenge to establish a website for broad range of projects and research, I designed a solution that connects Semaphore with researchers, students, and the broader community.
I implemented a popular content management system with customized front-end templates to handle information about news & events, people, research, projects, and research groups. Front-end information display is responsive based on the user’s device, using Bootstrap CSS framework.
Semaphore researchers are enthusiastic about having a place to showcase their work to the research community, and to give the broader public a chance to learn about emerging works in an emerging field.
